Hi everyone, Im new to the forum and was after some feedback. Has anyone used ovulation pads and got a positive result for more than a week?
The pads  have been changing to purple/dark blue from day 8, she is now on day 15 and still getting a positive result! She was mated on day 12 and was took back to the stud yesterday but he wasnt interested. Im worried there may be something wrong with my bitch. She is a maiden bitch 2 years old fully health tested clear. I am unable to use the stud again (for various reasons) do you think she may have took?

I know I am using the pads correctly as I have tested another bitch which it said was ovulating day 10, 11 and 12.

Any feedback would be much appreciated!!

Have you tried ringing Karen who sells the pads? She is very knowledgeable and will probably have come across most things. Her number is on their website

Hi, Yes have spoke to Karen and she hasnt come across this before so I am keeping an eye on her and testing every day (will be letting Karen know when I eventually get a negative result) I am also doing the saliva test which is also giving a positive result with lots of ferning!
I just wanted to know if anyone else had experienced this before. Seemed strange how when i took her back to be mated on day 14 the stud (experienced) wasnt interested but she was standing.

last season I used the pads, the saliva test and also blood tests!!! First two blood test's were negative even though the pads changed
for a day or two.  The day she was ready I did notice slight ferning.  After a lot of hassle we never got to mate.  Anyway this time still had pads etc so tried and nothing same with saliva, bloodtested once at day 8 and it said she'd be ready to mate in 2 days time.  We took her and had a mating on 2 consecutive days and she is now in whelp.
