We had our first trip in our caravan to Darlington and can I just say how helpful and friendly the people in the dog show caravan site were. We also had a great result at the show our miniature poodle won Utility Puppy Group 3 under respected all rounder and breed specialist Geoff Corish. We were absolutely thrilled with the result as it wasn't expected at all :) :) It was so nice to be able to go over to the caravan and celebrate rather than being shattered and having to drive home as we didn't get out the ring until nearly 6 o'clock as we were the last group in. We went home on Sunday via the Poodle Club of Scotland show where he also won Best Puppy In Show. :). Lets just say I hope we have many more weekends like that one!!!
fantastic news! Well done :). I think i am going to have to invest into another caravan used to love camping at shows. :( . We sold our last one as we wanted a newer model but we have never actually bought one to replace it! :) :)
We've just bought a caravan and awning on ebay to take to the shows.Darlington is our local show,so we didn't try it out then, can't wait for the first outing at Midland Counties!

This is just what we were told and experienced at E of E, and Leeds.
What a lovely win too.
Only thing we have found is the much higher fuel consumption when towing, which with the Caravan fees for some sites make a B & B option better if you have someone at home to look after the rest of the dogs.
Yes we did discover the lack of fuel economy!!!! But we have bernese and poodles which are very rarely on the same day so we would be going up and down the road twice but on different days and not get to see each other in the ring so it still does add up slightly cheaper with the added bonus we get a weekend away together instead of being like ships that pass in the night :) Thank you everyone for your congratulations, I am still smiling!!
