Hi

Does anyone know who is judging Cocker Spaniels at the show and how many classes there are please?

Thanks

Davie

Ring 6 first in the ring - although it doesn't say what time judging starts - says breeds second in the ring should be judged by 10am??  I'm afraid I don't have a schedule !

We are entered in NSC gundog which is third in the ring after Goldies in your ring!  and girls entered in Handling (entered to support the handling judge :))

So if you do have a schedule and can confirm judging start time be grateful back :)

Thanks :)

Ladies, just located the schedule, states on the front
Show opens at 09.00 and judging starts at 10.00

So with what Rachel has noted, which is what i read in one of the dog papers as well, not sure what's going on. I tend to get to most shows 1hr before judging starts anyway to settle the dogs in. I'm 1st in the ring also.

I think i may contact the secretary for clarity on this..

Oh Sue that's confusing LOL! - if you get any joy let me know - don't want to get there too early if not necessary :)  probably going to have to hang around for the handling as it is!!!
- By suejaw Date 22.09.09 12:10 UTC
Just spoken to the secretary and she has said that those 2nd in the ring need to be ready to go for around 10am, basically most of the breeds who are first have very few entries, and some may not turn up, its so those who are second don't get there too late and miss their classes, so BE READY to go for around 10am.. Hope that's cleared it up.
- By rachelsetters Date 22.09.09 12:27 UTC
Thanks Sue :) :)  See you there :)
- By LucyDogs [gb] Date 22.09.09 12:28 UTC
Look out for a tubby blonde with a mad veteran Cavalier too and come say hi! :-D
- By suejaw Date 22.09.09 12:46 UTC
Shall we actually look to meet at a set time and place for CD'ers, have a feeling its going to be a fairly quiet show from all accounts.
Would be nice to put some names to faces, other than Rachel's. :-P
- By rachelsetters Date 22.09.09 12:50 UTC
My face should be enough for anyone to deal with LOL :)

Oh Lucy would love to meet you after all these years !

Maybe it won't be that late for the handling then :)
- By rachelsetters Date 22.09.09 13:15 UTC
I'll be the harrassed one with two Gordons, two daughters and a cheeky English Setter :)  would be great to meet you after all this time :)
- By davieanders [gb] Date 22.09.09 15:46 UTC
Hi is there any chance someone could scan in the schedule for me and send me by email, as I can't find mine.

Thanks

Davie
- By rachelsetters Date 22.09.09 16:06 UTC
sorry Davie I definitely don't have one!!!  I entered using another entry form and some kind person on here gave me the class details so I could enter.
- By davieanders [gb] Date 22.09.09 16:08 UTC
Thanks Rachel for looking, I wonder if anyone else has one?
- By abraham [gb] Date 22.09.09 17:32 UTC
Im going to Sue, we are 3rd in after flatcoats and Labs so think in for a long wait, are you taking both boys?
- By tooolz Date 22.09.09 18:25 UTC
Just ask - what do you want me to look up?
- By davieanders [gb] Date 22.09.09 18:40 UTC
I wondered whether you can scan in schedule for gundogs and stakes please and then email to me please?
- By tooolz Date 22.09.09 18:52 UTC
Sorry scanner's bust!
- By davieanders [gb] Date 22.09.09 19:08 UTC

- By LucyDogs [gb] Date 22.09.09 20:47 UTC
Sounds fun Suejaw, any ideas? I am in the Cavalier breed class and the Veteran stakes.
- By rachelsetters Date 22.09.09 21:04 UTC

- By tooolz Date 22.09.09 21:43 UTC

- By suejaw Date 23.09.09 08:44 UTC
No from what i recall i have only entered the pup, as i know there will be no extra hands to help me out on the day in my breed. Think i may be the only one entered from all accounts. Lol..
Abraham are have you got both yours going on sat?

I know that we are going to be in at different times, its supposed to be nice on the day according to the forecast.

We could say that around 11am or before the show starts?
- By abraham [gb] Date 23.09.09 16:26 UTC
Oh Sue always mail me first i will always hold one of the boys for you. Yes for my sins  i am taking both girls but unlike you i think we may have a half decent entry.

This judge has had reasonable entries before, but I've no idea what the numbers are this time. Anyone able to tell me Cav numbers and Veteran dog stakes? Not important if no-one's in the mood for searching, I'll find out Saturday! :-)
- By rachelsetters Date 23.09.09 18:55 UTC
It wasn't printed in the papers Lucy - only the running order.
- By LucyDogs [gb] Date 26.09.09 19:39 UTC
Thanks anyway Rachel. It was a fair entry for Cavaliers, I was very pleased when my boy won his class as there was a couple of very nice dogs, and as he's a veteran, all the other dogs were 5 years younger than him! But sadly the Postgrad winner took BOB, so Henry's still on 19 BOB, though he did take RBOB which is pretty good for a veteran! Just as well too as the veteran judge slung him out! I thought I might have seen you or your daughter (?) a girl with an English and a Gordon setter was in the freezing barn that the Cavs were shown in, but there was someone with a BMD too so I wasn't sure.
- By rachelsetters Date 26.09.09 21:06 UTC
Yep we parked the boys in the barn out of the full sun!  Were you with someone who had an icecream??? if so I actually spoke to you and tickled Henry maybe??  but not sure if it was you - as you said alot of cav peeps there!

the girl with the BMD was Suejaw on here.

Although a small show and the rings were also small (for us anyway!) did enjoy it - think the sun helped!

Well done with Henry - a good result :)

Connor won his class which was AVNSC Gundog post grad, Jess won her handling class and Em got a 3rd in her handling class (she was so pleased as finding the 12/16 alot harder and such good handlers in that class at the moment!)  I was proud of both of them :)
- By suejaw Date 26.09.09 21:19 UTC
Ah Lucy you should of come over, maybe at the next show if you see us!!

Well done on RBOB, that is great news to hear with the entries you had.

We were seeking shade and comfort in the barn, too flaming hot for my youngster out in the sun, even i was getting hot and bothered.

Rachel's girls were great, shame i only got to see some of Emily's handling as i was trying to keep the English company and stay cool for the group stages..
- By abraham [gb] Date 27.09.09 09:00 UTC
Hi Sue, hope your young man has recovered from the heat of yesterday, mine both slept like logs last night, was nice to meet Rachel and put a face to the name. See you at the next one
julie
- By suejaw Date 27.09.09 09:36 UTC
He is fine now, boy he was all hot and bothered.. Bless him..
Well done on you getting the place in the working group!!

Thanks for staying with me to the end and also thanks to the couple with the Newfs who stayed for morale support. I never got their names, so if Alfie and Wilf's owners are on here, thank you very much..
- By abraham [gb] Date 27.09.09 13:48 UTC
Your welcome Sue, he looked so tired. Thanks for the congrats, i was very pleased with her 3rd, the Newfie got the 4th in the group, so nice day had by all.
- By rachelsetters Date 27.09.09 16:22 UTC
good to meet you to Julie :) all my boys slept well too !  enjoyed a good run in the field this morning avoiding more full sun today!
- By LucyDogs [gb] Date 28.09.09 12:58 UTC
Oh Rachel were you the lady who laughed and said 'that looks like a great idea' when you saw my friend with her huge icecream!! I wish I'd realised! How silly of me not to risk saying hi! :-)
- By rachelsetters Date 28.09.09 13:13 UTC
Indeed I was but it didn't twig with me until now lol :) at least we will know for next time!!!  Good to meet you lol :)
- By rachelsetters Date 28.09.09 13:38 UTC
Toolz don't suppose you have your schedule still do you - can you tell me who the AVNSC Gundog judge was by any chance please?   Many thanks x
- By tooolz Date 28.09.09 14:42 UTC
Yes :-)

The same judge who did the group.... Mr D Wilmshurst (Mandamay)
- By rachelsetters Date 28.09.09 14:46 UTC
