hi does anyone know if there is any adverse affects after a bitch is spayed, i have 3 girls which were all spayed 2 weeks ago, they were great to start with, but now they are weeing all over the place but within 10/15 mins within there last one, im having great difficulty removing the odours, i have been using biological washing powder mixed with water,
im concerned that they have a weak bladder as a result of their opperation,

any ideas please its driving us mad, x x sami x x

also i have noticed some specks of blood in their urine, only trouble is catching who its from, if it persists in the week i will take them all to the vets, but hopefully ill catch who its from before that, it could be a costly business yet again, lol

Hi Ddeansami,
Spaying can cause incontinence. There is medication to help with this problem. Talk to your vet.

It seems odd that it is effecting all 3 as, although spay incontinence can develop, the chances of it happening in all 3 bitches seems rather unlikely. Also, the blood is concerning and would indicate more than a simple case of incontinence. I would call your vet for advice in the morning.

I feel like I am never away from the vet at the moment also! One with diarrhoea, one with vaginitis and incontinence and another with vestibular syndrome! It's got to calm down soon I swear! lol

oh thanks ppl, i am contenplating changing vets as i know they will say its a water infection, i have been speaking to someone who uses the same vets and her bitch has been having the blood in water problem for a year now, and she has been told water infection and various othe problems, but none of the treatment has worked, im not too sure if its all of them who are weeing but, i feel like they are not bothered about this, its almost like a person lol, who just feels as though they arent phased by getting told off for this, this is why i feel like it could be a medical issue as appose to being typical teenagers, lol

I agree that its odd that all 3 are affected. Some bitches will encounter problems, but all 3?? I would change vets or look into it a bit more seems odd to me
