I mated my bitch on 25th & 26th August.  Everything has been going well, she's been eating great which she doesnt normaly
after a season and looking great and still full of energy until yesterday!!!  Hardly ate anything in morning so went out on her
walk with our other girl and met other dog owners, she wasnt interested in playing at all and stayed by our side.  Cut the walk short and brought her home.  She still didnt want to eat or drink, went and lay on the mud and was very lathergic.  I thought she was a bit hot so phoned the vet who said to bring her over.  Yesterday other than the fact she looked totally miserable and her temp was 102.5 the vet could
find nothing but gave her a one off shot of sinulox just in case something was brewing.  By last night still the same, when she's standing her head is hung quite low, and she is really reluctant to get up at all.  I put my arms round her and gave her a cuddle and she gave a little yelp?Back to vets this morning and seen the older vet.  No temp, back end fine, tummy seems fine but when he tried to lift her head up she would only let it go so far then tensed up.  He thinks theres a chance it is a neck injury but cant be 100% sure.  Anyway he checked and said he is reluctant to give her anything for pain as there is nothing showing as tested and safe to give bitches in whelp!!!  If she doesnt start eating over the next day or two then  the pros and cons may of not eating v taking painkillers may change.
I am trying to find a McTimoney practioner in Scotland and so far have found a couple and left messages but if anyone knows of anywhere I could try and take her or anything I could safely give her to make her more comfortable?
Thanks
