To me that is excessive money, but then i don't have that amount just laying about.. lovely looking dog and i must admit i have taken a huge fancy to the breed myself

wow! Good on her i say! That sort of money to a millionaire is nothing! If only i had that sort of money, boy i would do so much, i would travel to the country of my breed and research into there background and i would bring back some new blood lines :) oh what a pipe dream! :)

I wouldn't -not unless the breed was on the verge of extinction and nothing else would save it. I'd spend a fraction of the money on importing something good and the rest would go to breed rescue!

Tibetan Mastiffs are not thar uncommon here. They have lovely coats, absolutely gorgeous.
Not a breed for everyone, though. You get quite a lot of dog for your money :-)

WOW the breeders saw her coming!  The only thing worth that is the guarantee of your health and unfortunately in reality that wouldn't happen either!

Maybe the dog was not for sale and that was the amount that made the breeders sell him!
I do know good proven dogs can go for a lot of money, I wonder how much a TM costs in China?

When I was working at the breeder some indian guys came around to see the dogs and wanted to buy her male(who had sired few CC winners) and offered over 10 times what a puppy would be worth (nothing like that money paid for the TM tho)... but still lot of money for a dog!
The breeder refused and the dog retired to a pethome in the next village :)...

Oh Jeff you saying that you wouldn't pay that to add another to your pack?? Lol..

So sorry that i missed the TM's on sat, was busy cooling my little one off in the shade.. But well done to all at the show in the breed.
