Get back to the vets. Could be many things and some serious!

sorry no experience of this before but i'm glad you went straight to the vets about it. i presume your taking the dog back again because this is continuing.
try and make sure your dog gets plenty of fluids while ill, dehydration can set in quite quickly when their this poorly.
would be worth trying to feed a bland gentle diet for a few days if your dog will eat.i always feed mine rice and chicken or just rice if their really bad as this seems to be tolerated by their tummies better.
ice cubes is a good one for getting fluids into them and they love crunching them up.
let us know how you get on.

poor baby, i'll keep my fingers crossed for you both. maybe the ice cubes would be good if he's bring water back up as it will just be enough to keep his mouth refreshed.

ive just let him lick on an ice cube and he as just been out for a wee still very weak at walking, hes now back on the sofa sleeping which i think is the best thing for him at the moment, i will give him another ice cube in an hour to keep is fluids up and keep my eye on him,

I've had one on near collapse and go off her feet when she had a bad stomach. Gums went near white and Vet was very worried until she started to come round so quickly. Turned out that she had obviously had very bad stomach cramps that had put her body into shock. Soon recovered. Keep his fluids up and my Vet suggested syringing bio yoghurt into her. Obviously though should he not be getting any better then back to the Vets asap
Hope he hasnt gotten hold of any poisons or anything like that. Slug pellets or plant feeds are sometimes thought to be innocent as the have reduced attractiveness to pets, but they are still harmful. Vet might give you some lectade to keep him hydrated.

I would be very worried that a vet let a dog go home that is near collapse ...any news from your visit this morning ...I hope he is a lot better
