Has anyone any suggestions please, have a 3 yo Lhasa bitch, perfectly healthy, fed fresh meat and laughing dog mixer, plus fresh raw veg, in beautiful condition but absoloutely bone idle!
She has unlimited free access to the house and garden, other dogs to play with but just has no spark, she gets taken for walks is not over or underweight, just seems to have a very low energy level, had her blood tested for thyroid but that came back clear, nothing to do with seasons as shes like it all the time, thinking of changing her food any suggestions would be most welcome thanks

was it a full thyroid panel, and what is her coat condition like?

Yes he checked everything and her coat is beautiful, right down to the floor, thick and easy to care for, skin is perfect too, good pigment, no problems whatsoever other than the fact shes incredibly lazy!

I had a Briard who was so lazy maybe it is just one of those things

I do think that it's possible that some dogs are bone idle (equivalent of the human couch potato.)

I have a Chihuahua Long Coat bitch and I have more than enough free running space.  I can watch from the kitchen window, they're all running, playing chase, jumping on each others heads, having a great time.

Rosie sits and watches, more into spectator sports!

Thanks youre probably right, just wondered if it has anything to do with the feeding? iv tried the plush puppy show reviver and Damiana and kola from dorwest, didnt help at all, any ideas of anything that may help give her a bit more energy?

I honestly don't beleive it's in the feeding.  All mine get the same (except Rosie has a much smaller portion!)

If it's the feed, then all my gang would be the same, and that's not the case.

cant be the food - I feed pretty much the same as you and have two BCs who are couch potatoes at home and one who cant sit still for 5 mins.  At agility though its a different matters and the other two are complete loons.

Sounds like my 4 year old Coton bitch! She is also perfectly healthy but a total couch potato who often retreats to her bed when her lead is brought out! She does usually enjoy a walk once she gets going though, but her favourite things are eating and sleeping.
