My youngest was playing with our iPod and it is now in , what appears to be , German !!
Can anyone tell me how to get it back to English ?

assuming yours is the same as mine...or they are all the same...:)
- on the main menu (1st 'page') select the 5th option
- scroll right to the bottom, select the 3rd option from the bottom
- it should be English as the top option to choose from.

I have tries what you have said with no luck !!
I think mine is a Nano - the middle sized one . It is 2" x 2.5" .

I found a reset your settings bit .  Thanks .
