Hi everyone, looks like there's been plenty of new members whilst I've been away - welcome to you all!

Life is so hectic at the moment, we've got an estate agent coming round to photograph our house this afternoon ready to put it on the market as we have decided to move to Ashbourne.  I'm excited about a new, bigger house but equally quite nervous about moving to a new place & starting all over again, plus the thought of taking on a huge mortgage scares me a bit (daft I know when that's what a do for a living!!)  I hope the people of Ashbourne are friendly!

Work has started to pick up a bit too, which after months of boredom & not much to do is a weclome change.  I've also got a fresh, new team who are very ethusiastic & will hopefully work really well together.

Wedding planning is coming along well, we've booked an amazing photographer & have decided to have a covers band so we're going to watch them play live in a few weeks.  They've said they will do 2 sets & one of the band members will DJ in between so solves all the concerns I had about people not dancing etc to a band, plus they're doing covers so will be songs people know.  I've found some lovely teal floral backing paper for 10p a sheet in a local craft shop so I'm all set to start making my invitations.

Had some sad news, you might remember about 10 months ago I posted that my parents were splitting up.  Well they had been trying to make it work but things haven't been going as well as I'd hoped & they've decided to call it a day for good.  Probably gonna be some big changes in the next few months, dad wants a fresh break so is applying for jobs in Edinburgh, which scares me a bit as I'll hardly ever get to see him.  I think deep down I had hoped they could work things out :(

Alton Towers at the wknd though, which should be fun if it doesn't rain!!

Good luck with the move...Mortgages...only numbers......
I dont know Ashbourne, but people are people, you will be just fine.
The wedding sounds like it's going to be great fun, afriend/colleague has just recetly married, and going through it vicariously as it were, has been so exciting. We could not go as it was in Scotland and just to far for us to go.
Keep smiling and enjoy AT
Dont worry about your parents, it is out of your control and sadly it is your turn to watch, wait and be in a supporting role for them.

Karen :)

Good luck with the house sale Gembo...things are starting to move a bit quicker now.
I expect you will make new friends in Ashbourne at work and new neighbours. And of course we are still here on CD.
You need to look to the future now...new house...new hubby [nearly] and your lovely dogs.

Have a good weekend at AT.
Regards Goldie.

Thanks guys for taking the time to post.  House is now on the market >eek!<, hoping for some interest soon but not got our hopes up too much as the market is still in the early signs of recovery!

I'm trying to keep as much distance between me & my parents splitting up as possible, I've accepted there is nothing I can do about it.  It's just difficult to hear then talk about each other & to find out my childhood home will have to be sold :(

Couldn't agree with you more Goldie, I just need to stay positive.

Thank you again, it means a lot. There seems to be so many bun fights going off at the minute I haven't been posting much, the tone of the site seems to have changed quite a bit.
