Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / missed twice

My girl has missed twice to the same dog, she is not a maiden but it is over 3 years since her 1st and only litter todate.
she had very good matings and this time was swabbed saying she was ready.
any advice if i decide t try her again, not 100% sure i am going to as she is not a young girl.
have talked to the vet about it and she is 100% healthy he dose not see a problem.

When my bitch did the same (except we tried on three seasons to the same dog, who was tested as fertile) we ended up using a different dog, and got a very nice litter.

Sometimes nature knows best. I would try another dog, even a litter brother might work.

Agree with the others, go with a different dog next time.  If she's only had one litter, and your vet is happy with her condition, I would go for it personally.

This time I would do premate tests but use another dog.

Thanks Every one, i so want a puppy from this girl, (bitch if pos ) she had all males last time.
I will have her tested next time again and go with vets advice nearer the time, her age is worrying me even though the kc says they can be bred from up to 8 yrs it still bothers me as she will be 7.

My girl was just turned 8, of course I had to get permission.  She only had three but the one that I saw recently is a stunner!
