I am feeding a 14wk old westies 4 times a day. I know its time to start cutting to 3 meals. Do i still give the same quantity only split it over 3 meals instead of 4. Seems a stupid thing to ask seing ive had dogs all my days but its 15yrs since id a westie puppy. Just want to be sure i dont underfeed her.
many thanks Jean

yes same amount of food but over 3 meals also remember to up the amount as she grows i usually add that little bit extra when they leave it you know they are full.. I have a different breed and usually do it around 16 wks down to two at around 6 m

Thanks for this starryeyes. Will give her another couple of weeks yet on 4 then before changing to 3. This is the first westie puppy that ive had thats came to me on a dry feeding. I always gave 2 minced meat or chicken and 2 pudding meals. So just was unsure when to change to 3

Like jodublin I also only ever drop to 2 meals.

I have a toy breed, and give 4 meals until 16 weeks, then 3 meals to 6 months, when they drop to 2 a day for life.

Thanks for your replies. Ive still got her on 4 meals  at 17 weeks . Need to try bringing her to 3. I try in the morning feed to give more hoping she will complete the feed so i can change to 3 but she never eats the extra im putting in so get concerned if i change to 3 shes not getting enough food
