The more stars by the name the more posts you've made ;-)

don't know what they mean as such but they go up the more posts you do or answer, so i suppose the more stars you have you could be more experienced on some things but you may just like posting on the forum.

Thats where you have to be careful!!!!!
Some people could have replied/posted to 10,000 posts on Idle chat and have 5 Stars, but know NOTHING about dogs, Yet someone could only post on behaviour forum and only have 2 stars but has a great knowledge of behaviour.
Who would you rather get advice from, the person with a wealth of knowledge but only replies to specific threads so only 2 stars, or the person that cant shut up but knows nothing with 5 stars!!!!
And yes it has been known!!!!!!
