My OH won a marrow in a raffle at the weekend so I wondered if any of you has a nice easy recipe for something made with a marrow? My recipe books have nothing, even my veggie ones!!! I'm told you can use it much like potatoes?

I make either a chilli or a bog. I cut the marrow into discs lay them in a roasting dish cover with the chilli or bog add a generous layer of cheese mixed with breadcumbs and bake for about 40 minutes or so on a moderate heat, then eat :-)

You can also just saute the marrow cut into squares in garlic, lemon juice and olive oil.

Thank you, I'm going to give it a try.

Just to update you, the stuffed marrow was lovely, a really easy to make meal, although I expected the actual marrow to have more taste. I would definitely have it again and I intend to try it with garlic, lemon juice and olive oil! :-)
