It was dark at 8.20pm tonight. And we have not really had a summer yet. And to top that I went into Debhenams today at they have christmas things in already.

I have noticed that the leaves are beginning to drop from the trees . Just come back from a week in Wales and we commented that it looked a bit Autumnal .  Soon be Christmas !

i hate when the dark evenings arrive, i think they should stop the spring forward, fall back, time thing. And as for shops starting christmas! Omg! I have got to try and explain to my kids that, father christmas is not going to be able to bring lots of presents this year :(

I actually noticed rows and rows of all the bigger family christmas cards in a card shop in my local shopping centre yesterday and thought to myself OMG it's still August. I do love all the christmas stuff but August is pushing it abit i think ! We'll have easter eggs in the shops soon !

I find it mighty depressing that the nights are drawing in. Took M-I-L to the local 2 4 1 eaterie & in the lobby they had a christmas tree up with leaflets for Xmas day lunch.

is there really any need to have christmas things in already, they could at least wait till October, surely thats enough time  for most people.
mind you i love christmas, think i get more excited than the kids these days but still i don't want to be thinking about it just yet .

Almost feel like we should have thanksgiving ourselves, may stop some of the really early xmas things from creeping in?

It's more flipping darker here since the council decided to turn off the street lights @ midnight.

I was scared walking to my car this morning @ 4.45am I couldn't see the damn thing and it was parked right in front of my front door!.

Oh how I'd love to win the lottery.
I'd buy a house in the country, bit of land... plenty for my dog to run around... plenty of land for the foster dogs I'd love to have run around too!

love

If you moved to the country it would be very dark!    :-)  The dark sky is one of the things I love about living in the country. There would be an uproar where I live, if street lights were even suggested!  :-)

My OH walks Jakie in every morning sun or rain and uses one of these in the dark, he's in by 7:30am and its still dark in the winter months.

I get out their night collars so I can see them its diffecult with a black dog in a dark field.

I was just going to say the same thing, LOL. When it gets dark here, there IS no such thing as street lights, or even lights from other houses.
