why on earth would you take an 8 wk old puppy <<<out for a walk>>>??? what about innoculations apart from the fact they dont need to go out for a walk at this age.
Are you taking the Michaelangelo!!

she needs as much socialisation at this young age, as long as she has had all her jabs, you should take her to a local puppy class so she will learn good socialising skills. Praising her on good behaviour with other dogs is certainly the right thing to do :) Edited: yes agree with starryeyes,
haha i new somebody would come up with that, fortunatley im not that stupid to take an 8 week old pup out with no jabs as i have had other pups in the past, i carry her round town and stuff but if we meet some one with a dog and they come to say hello i bend down but keep her on my lap as i have been told you have to socaillise staffs pretty much from day 1.
sorry if i seem like im havein ago but you have to be pretty simple if u dont no not to put an 8 week old on the floor, mind you my dad has just got a yorkie and he is just over a year and he had never had any injections at all but hes been injected now.

I'd think that she is a bit overwhelmed, at 8 weeks this sort of socialisation is only just starting and should be gradual..
Why would you be socialising an eight week old puppy with strange dogs in the first instance though? Keeping their paws off the ground makes no difference.
well thanks for your advise i shant bother askin for any more as all u are tellin me is that she should be injected yes im not sayin she shouldn even tho some ppl never inject there dogs that wasnt the question was it, if i dont stop her bein aggresive now how am i goin to stop her wen she is bigger with a bigger set of jaws.

I have a staffy and she was a total demon as a pup in comparison with my current young rott who has been (almost) angelic. Please don't mistake staffy exuberance and noise for aggression. they play rough with humans and other dogs and like to be king of the castle. Like one of the other posters said your pup is probably overwhelmed with the new sights, smells and the other dogs. Let her do things in her own time and you might get a different response from her. Good luck with your pup.

she is probably scared /terrified/nervous/worried/ if you are shoving her in the face of adult dogs .
Keep her inside play with her , take her to the park and sit on a bench let her see the world go by then join a puppy class and introduce her slowly to other dogs .Allow adults (as in humans) to stroke her gently even give her a cuddle sounds like your the problem not the dog , actually training schools are
for the owners not the dog!!
remember to let her have lots of sleep she is only a baby!!
i carry her round town and stuff but if we meet some one with a dog and they come to say hello i bend down but keep her on my laMost dogs will feel bigger than they are and above themselves (or if insecure and they can't get away, showing aggression is all they can do to say "I don't like this") when on their owner's laps, so this might be the simple reason.

In all fairness, your original post DOES say that you are taking her out on a walk, so people took you at your word.
