need a bit of advice, pup aged 5 wks tomorrow.  I took her to the vet as she had what looks like a small lump on her  lid just under her eye so no interferencevet thinks one of the other pups has scratched her but could be a cyst and may well go but could also need lancing at around 6 months at a cost of £30 - £150 (dependant on whether she is spayed or not at the same time).  I have a deposit on the pup buit dont know what to do whether to keep pup until after op if it needs one, offer to pay for op etc I have never had this before so sdvice please puppy is staying local.

had one just like this, it got bigger and then just disappeared, presumebly popped.  Puppy was about 5/6 weeks at the time, wouldn't rush into anything at the mo.

I would wait a week or so see how it goes then if it appears that pup may need surgery I would ring the new owners and be honest with them explaining what the info the vet has given you ...then its really upto them if they still want the pup , wait or go elsewhere.

I had a pup with a tiny hernia and worried myself sick in the end had her seen by the vet then rang the new puppy owners ..I neednt have worried they were great it didnt worrry them one bit as they have had dogs all their lives and know these thing can happen.

Hi,i had a similair thing on one of my pups at 5 weeks. Not sure how big yours is but mine was the size of a large pin head.
I took him to the eye specialist that does my annual eye testing on my bitches as i wanted a definite diagnosis to inform new owners.
He diagnosed it as an eyelash that has not come through and has caused a cyst and it would go on it's own, which it did.He said to clear it  quicker i could hold a warm compress on it.Not saying this is the same as your pup but sounds a bit similair.
Hope this puts your mind at rest a bit.

Spoke to new owners they are not phased by it at all, they understood and I have told them that I will be with them all the way, they are going to stay with my vets which is a good thing, I have started with the warm compress because I thought that may help.
