Okay I think when a bitch wins a reserve ticket it means they are the best but one of the bithces of that breed there - is that right?

Also can  a bitch get a stud book number? And if she does what does that entitle her to?

I thought I had it all sorted out in my head, but I can't remember what these terms mean. Thanks again!

A reserve CC is the second best to the CC winner yes. The CC winner being the best of the sex of that breed at that show -not all shows have CCs on offer for all breeds though. A reserve CC qualifies the dog OR bitch for entry into the KC stud book and that means it is Crufts qualified for life.

Though that is not the purpose of the stud book.  I believe the purpose is to list all dogs worthy of note as opposed to just those registered.
