we had a slip mating 28 days ago and my girl has been sick the past 2 days but i was wandering if anybody could tell me where abouts she would start to but the weight on is it underneath by her nipples or on the sides?
she does feel a little rounder very high up on her body on both sides ?
many thanks for any advice

It is very variable especially with a first litter.

My own medium size breed can be very good at hiding a pregnancy and I usually notice the ribs springing, but an outsider would not recognise them as pregnant until at least 7 weeks.

My Lexi when she carried 8 pups (7 lived) hardly showed to the casual observer right to the end.

Hi,we normally notice a thickening of the waist at about 5 to 6 weeks rather than a lump and as brainless said a springing out from the ribs. Our bitches are often sick around 3 to 4 weeks with plenty of grass eating.
Have a look at her nipples,at the very base and see if the look any darker or pinker,it will be very subtle and may be slightly swollen round base. Also have a look to see if there is any hair loss round the base of nipple.
Fingers crossed for you.

We all know that feeling!!  :-)

Way before there are signs of bulges, if I stand over mine and look down at them, it's the ribcage widening that alerts me.

Springing out of the ribs in my breed is where you notice it first but like others have said casual observers wouldn't even notice.

My bitches tend to vomit and feel lousy on day 7 then that's their morning sickness done - every schip I've bred has done the same a wk to the day post mating and they're hiding grass eating, hungry and vomiting just for the day then nothing else.
