Hi all,
Now a question, does anyone know of a pool to swim dogs near Yeovil?
I would like to swim my girlies for fun and am looking for somewhere not too far if possible.

Have no idea what these places are like from after doing a search online for ones in Somerset i have come up with these

http://www.orcharddoghydrotherapy.com/ - Based in Bridgewater

http://www.magicspool.co.uk/ - Based in Stalford

http://www.natural-animal-health.co.uk/Therapists/Avo-som-wilt-dor.htm - Details of therapist in Somerset, Avon, Wilts and Dorset

http://www.amberco-canine-centres.co.uk/ - Based in Temple Cloud

Couldn't find anything jumping out at me for Yeovil though
Nothing seems to be jumping up in actual Yeovil though

Thanks for those Sue. I had looked on the web but was hoping someone knew of maybe  a private pool. The girlies do not need  a referall just a pool they could swim in??
I know many people own thier own, my friend in Devon does (Too far for a weekly trip!) and just lets friends use it who do not need physio type help. Thought it may be good for Merlot she is getting a lazy bones ? I would give her a lot more road work but my knees are not up to it!! She can go out for a good hour or more twice a day, free "running" but just PLODS!!! the only thing that motivates her is the sight of a Bunnie!!! Balls and toys are looked at with a " Well YOU threw it, so what do you want ME to do about it?" I wish I were fit enough to run with her but am not...three times round a show ring and my knees are shot away...If we get to do a lap of honour...I am like a wet rag!!!
She is not unfit but I would like her a bit more toned! Bar paying out a small fortune for a treadmill (Ohhh !!! ;) ;) ) I am at a loss to know what to do. OH takes her out as often as he can for me but he works till gone 6 pm and is always worn out when he gets home. (He works too hard bless him )
Suggestions on a post card please!!!! ;) ;)

I have tried a couple of pools in my area, these being hydro pools, though no referral required as i say its for fitness and muscle tone rather than any issues. They have all been great in the sense that this is allowed, though they don't put on the jets, just allow the dogs to swim about and play fetch in the water.
Sorry to of not been any help as in recommendations, but it may be worth calling these people and checking out their pools and seeing what they do in the way of fitness in the pools without a referral.

Hoping that someone will come along soon from your area to help.
Your knees going, bless, its not easy when you have joint problems.
I can manage to go around a ring a few times before my dizzy spells kick in and also the pain in my upper neck area.
Merlot gets more exercise then mine do, Kai runs about chasing rabbits for about 10 mins and then plods as has worn himself out no end. Having the Lab about means he chases about a lot more, hence less time out on a walk as wears himself out something silly. His muscle tone is good and he never really craves for a walk, just likes being somewhere new to sniff.
