hi all well my lola is just over 4 months now and doing great only one thing she is such a small eater.bowl used to be down all day and she wouldnt touch her food accept a few nibbles so started taking the bowl up and feeding 3 times daily, well no change.she eats very minimal amounts.
anyone here with a fussy eater?anything i can try to get her eating more.?i know shes only small but maggie who is tiny eats more than she does.she will sometomes not even look at the food laid down for her.walks away untouched.i feed the same times everyday.my rotts used to be fed on raw but i cant get it no more the place shut down where i got it from.so now all the dogs are on dried.but she would happily eat the raw chicken the other dogs left in bowl. any ideas??xx

Hi I also have a fussy toy poodle called Rusty aged 4 years, having tried lots of different foods wet and dry the one he eats the best is Natures menu in tins not the pouches ( as these are a different consistency to the tins ), I have tried all the good quality foods such as nature diet, natures harvest etc but he won't touch them. I also buy Royal canin mini sensible which is very tiny kibble and is made especially for fussy eaters having tried the RC for poodles. I give him this inside either a treat ball or a kong as he won't eat it from a dish, if he won't eat the wet food which happens on a fairly regular basis. He has been like this since he was a puppy, by contrast I have a younger toy poodle Pepe aged 3 years who eats the wet food with no problem at all and has in the past eaten up supplies of other foods bought to try on Rusty. Pepe isn't quite so keen on the dry food but as he eats all his nature menu up it doesn't matter. I have to order the tins of nature menu over the internet as it is not available in many shops locally in fact only one pet shop near me sells it and then they only have one variety so I bulk buy which brings the price down a bit as it is well over £1.00 a tin. Hope this is of help to you.

I have 4 fussy toys - I now give raw tripe - butchers dog food in jelly - they hate the gravy one - mince with tomato paste and pasta, chicken cooked in foil - and eukanuba - I also cook liver, heart and kidney, veg in water and use liquid for dry food, sardines occasionally.  Poodles go off food regularly - and love variety - and thats not including the titbits of toast and crisps.  Did I say my dogs were fussy lol

My young golden retriever will not touch complete on its own...she would rather starve.
I mix it with JWB pouches or prize choice meats. She loves mixed veg aswell.
A little treat she loves is grated cheese on top.

same as goldie, I feed half wet half complete.

wouldn't want to have the same every day myself!
