- By Crespin Date 02.08.09 14:38 UTC
A pet pug, that I met when I took Cher to puppy classes when she was 3 months old.  The name was (Affix - just because I cant remember the kennel name) Badigan Madigan.  She explained it:  She's gonna be bad again, Im gonna be mad again.  LOL

Boxers must take the biscuit in this ...Lust in the dust..Lust at First Sight....Pheasant Plucker and one that managed to squeeze though...J.Cunning Stunt.

Wasn't the Am Cocker called Douglas Fashion originally called Doggie Fashion?
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 02.08.09 15:45 UTC
I think most breeds have had a Lucy Lastic.
- By Brainless [gb] Date 02.08.09 15:45 UTC
I think the Drakesleat names are pretty clever
- By Cava14Una Date 02.08.09 16:36 UTC
Beat me to Pheasant Plucker :-D
- By Sedona Date 02.08.09 19:45 UTC

I had a 'Total Shambles' she wasn't I hated her KC name poor Trudi.
Her sister was 'I'm Loopy Lu Too' aka Lou.

I now have an 'Ain't No Saint', a 'So 'n' So' and a 'Told You So' - kinda suits the Boxers...:) Althou
naughty names go with naughty dogs....

Susancar's are quite cannily named.
There's also in the breed Fun In the Sun, Flirt in the Dirt, Snog in the Fog oooh loads....

- By gwen [gb] Date 03.08.09 10:26 UTC
Yes, same litter as Debbie, another brother was Dirk Diggler ( a certain kind of "movie"star!).
- By Crespin Date 03.08.09 14:09 UTC

> ' Wish I'd been docked'!

BURN nice, love it!  Cockers, well your sporting breeds in general, with tails I would imagine coffee tables would be clear because of how much the dogs wag their tails - mind you the floor would be dirty, for all they knock off!  LOL
- By LucyDogs [gb] Date 03.08.09 16:50 UTC
The Khatibi dogs have great names - Edie Does It, Eamon High, Duncan Disorderly, Gladys All Over spring to mind. Henry's breed had some fun names on her 'naughty' themes too - Nod'Arf Naughty, Never So Naughty, Naughty But Nice, Naughty By Nature and so on. :-)
- By LucyDogs [gb] Date 03.08.09 16:51 UTC

>Wonder if the same litter as Debbie Does Dallas - am told this is a norty movie!

All used before by the Susancar boxers from the 80's to the present.
- By Crespin Date 03.08.09 17:12 UTC
I registered Rufus, as (Affix) Ain't Misbehaving.  Although his nick name in the house was RuBoo, because Rufus made Boo Boos. LOL
- By brac Date 03.08.09 19:34 UTC
there was a boxer called fugley ( which his owner said they called him this because he was F*****G Ugly )when he was born love it lol
- By Pinky Date 03.08.09 20:48 UTC
I remember seeing Crufts a year or so back, and the flyball had a lovely collie called Diesel, full name was something like 4x4 Turbo Diesel, I thought that was excellent, and so typical of the dog :)
- By ChristineW Date 03.08.09 22:37 UTC
In New Zealand there was a Hoof Hearted - say it!

Over here there's a Sh.Ch. GSP ******** Pyzartist.

Alright, I thought this was a 'good show names' thread, not a 'best person for picking names' or a 'who's been showing since the 80s'. I was just saying some good names I'd seen since I started. :-)

> There's also in the breed Fun In the Sun, Flirt in the Dirt, Snog in the Fog

Must admit I never actually thought of Fun in the Sun in any way other than good fun in the sun shine lol but when put next to Snog, Flirt & Lust it kinda makes sense - also Maiden the Shade..........never gave it a thought,so so naive me!
I'm going to ask was it meant that way now! ha ha
- By OwnedbyaBC [je] Date 04.08.09 17:38 UTC
Some of these are hilarious!!

Here are a few more pinched from the good old USA :
I'm Gonna Woo Pass
Talk To The Paw
Once U'V Had Black (for a black staffy)
Derin To Go Braughless
Dial 1-800-Hotstuff

Two (white) borzoi

with one black spot on her showside...
Out Out Dam'd Spot

The second is also a Borzoi, Aus. import
Out Ov Ink who was the only borzoi in the litter unmarked.. so his mum had run out ov ink ;)

And a Basenji breeder has used
Raider of the Lost Bark
CongoLeeza Rice (!!!)
Jurassic Bark MC
and finally John Tri-Volta..for a Tri Basenji... GENIUS!!
- By tooolz Date 04.08.09 18:45 UTC

- By ShaynLola Date 04.08.09 19:07 UTC
Kanesbrook Black Denzil (RIP)...but not for his kennel name.

His pet name was Jovi and he was bred/owned by John Bond.  Therefore, he was John Bond's Jovi :)

I have a wild puppy registered as   NO OFF SWITCH
- By Staff [gb] Date 07.08.09 11:39 UTC
Out of the litter which I got my girl from they all had the theme of 'Love' in their name apart from one boy who was called H.........Funny Face - all because he didn't have the best markings on his face for the breed.
- By gwen [gb] Date 09.08.09 08:26 UTC
One of our boys came from a breeder with a long history of strong competition between the 2 kennels, and he threatened to register the puppy (now long departed) as B... Buries the Hatchet in A......  ! Thankfully  he didn't, we got our name choice.
- By Crespin Date 09.08.09 13:52 UTC
an Austrailian Terrrier named (affix) Not Bad

a Fox Terrier (smooth) named (Affix) Snap Crackle N Pop
- By Sarah Date 09.08.09 17:12 UTC
The Akita people often have funny names whilst they appear to be getting at each other lol  Possibly my fav is .... Burn the Witch
- By Setters4me [gb] Date 09.08.09 20:32 UTC
The funniest/worst name I saw was for an Italian Greyhound (Affix) Scrag End!! and it seems the IG people want to outdo each other for the worst name!!
- By joec [gb] Date 11.08.09 12:16 UTC
I think our breeders Japanese Chins are briliant names Chindiana Jones, Michael Jackchin, Like a Virchin, Chrischin Dior

did anyone see the name of the scottish terrier in Andrew Braces column this week? maybe it means something in country of origin....but.....here....oh dear!!! :)
- By WendyJ [gb] Date 12.08.09 13:39 UTC
Some of the cleverest was a litter by a whippet friend of mine in the States.  It was based on things parents tell their kids not to do.

Runs with Scissors (I can't remember the call name for this one, but they had call names that went with them)
Shows her panites (call name fanny - in North America fanny is just your bum - so not as rude as it would be over here)
Plays with Matches (call name Ember)

I can't remember the rest of the litter, but it was very clever.

Wendy
