my dyson died three days ago after many years of use. The mess from dogs hair and kids on my floors was horrible but today my new dyson arrived and i'm so impressed, i had to empty it three times after just doing the lounge.
Sad i know to get excited about this but although i love my dogs i can't stand hair everywhere. this is the best thing out as far as i'm concerned when it comes to getting pet hair out of carpets, although i did have to dig rather deep in my pocket to buy one.

I have a dyson animal and am also very impressed by it. The motor went in mine a couple of months ago and i have always had a spare hoover just in case, well sad i know but i want to chuck the spare one in the bin, wasnt worth a carrot. I rang Dyson they sent the fella the next day and fixed it, also replacing the electrical lead, the filters, and brushes etc so basically got a full service and parts included in the price. I was soooooooo pleased that it had been fixed. Worth the money in my opinion

Yep i wouldn't be without my dyson or dysons! Somehow I have acquired 3 and a broken one in the garage for parts.
Their service is great and a reasonable price price and the last one I got reconditioned on ebay for about £40.00

I have a dyson animal upright too over 7 years now, brilliant!

We bought a new Dyson about 18 months ago and it's great (it's a grey coloured one).  My cousin tried the one with the ball and said it's rubbish, she's sticking to her upright one.

Ive had two dyson vac's over the past ten years and a dyson washing machine - the best and you are right the service is great as well.

i got the one with the ball this time and i find it much easier than the Dyson i had before. it really is easier to move around.

Oh well, there you go.  I've never had a go of it myself, just going on hearsay.

I have to say I never got on with my dh's dyson.  Found it heavy & irritating.  It never got into the corners properly & the attachments kept falling off.  the kids had a toy dyson, the attachments fell off that too :-(

I have a Henry, but then I don't have any carpets now so he's fab for all that & all i have to do is PULL hard, smacking him into door frames regularly & he doesn't complain ;-)

I agree, can only say good things about Dyson.  I've had two also over the last 10 years, and even when the warranty has been slightly out of date, they have still sent replacement parts.  I've brought my Dyson to Australia with me and thank goodness!  Comparitively they are HUGELY expensive to buy here.

I had two dysons then decided to go for a vax, big mistake! I only had it a couple of months and then bought Dyson number three.

I agree. so far theres nothing on the market that beats a dyson

i bought one of these 2 years ago

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4063452/c_1/1%7Ccat_14418476%7CVacuum+cleaners%7C14418639/Trail/searchtext%3E+VACUUM+CLEANERS++.htm

and it was an up grade from my old asda oino cheap £29.99 hoover,   i have to say the new one is totally Rubbish the cheap old hoover worked better Never Again will i buy MR product its the worse buy even,

pick up is awful pet attatchment stops spinning the minute hairs get on it and rap around it, the hose is to long and in the way where as the metal bit you hold is to short and im always hunched over cord retracting does not pull cord in if theirs the slightest kink in it ohh their so many bad points to it the first thing we all noticed was the noise OMG i turned it on and just coulnt resist the joke as everyone in the house came running to see what the noise was their i stood in the front room raising the noozel of the floor into the air like it was going to fly away gosh it sounds like concords taken off,
awful just awful hoover ,
i'll have to try a Dyson next time but we are in need of a new fridge soon this one has seen better days so the big D will have to wait im affraid,
sadly i will stuggle on will the morphy rubbish opps i mean richards, ummm or do I :-)

YOU BEEN WARNED FOLKS Dont buy this one!!

I'd have to disagree :)  a Miele does !.

I definitely prefer Henry.  Had a Dyson but nowhere near as good and it was far too heavy for me.

We have a Dyson and tbh i do like it but feel that there must be something better out there, suction isn't great, though its a few years old now.
I've heard nothing but excellent reports on the Miele cat dog

I have a Dyson and I hate it, its forever getting blocked up with dog hair etc I spent more time dragging dog hair out of the roller than I did vacuuming. It now lives in the garage as a backup. Best one was a Hoover but it went to the great hoover resting ground in the sky after 18 years faithful service :-(
