last night i caught my 15 month old leo with a toad/ frog, this is not unusual for him as he can normally spot one from a mile away then drag you on your chin to play with it. however this morning he is really off colour and wont touch his breakfast and is just lying in a corner sleeping. he wouldnt even get up to lick an empty yoghurt pot, which is his favourite thing in the whole wide world....

just wondered if anybody had any advice on the matter?

Take him to the vet this morning. Toads are poisonous and the secretions on their skin could make him ill.

been to the vets... they gave him an anti stomache cramping jab and he seems much better now.... vet said he was lucky, if he'd been a smaller breed or a pup, it probably would have killed him..

thanks for all the replies. he seemed to have recovered but has now gone down hill. vet seems to think it not toad related :(

no... the vet still none the wiser. has blood test and he is anemic. they sent some bloods to external lab and now wait for results... going down hill fast tho. been suggested to me by a friend to mention PLE and primary lymphangiectasia to the vet, but i got a feeling he didnt take me seriously
