Hi all, last night Sweep vomited around 6ish pm, it was lots of froth/spume but yellow. She was staggering around like drunk so I waited & settled her & left her for an hour to feed the others. Hour & half later let her out for a pee, she appeared normal but then started staggering around & I had to carry her in. Noticed a pretty big lump under her armpit. Called the vet. Before he arrived she staggered some more then settled down.
When he arrived she was OK, he gave her injection to stop vomiting she seemed fine, said its a tumour but I`m not doing a biopsy, she was 12yrs April gone,he had a coffee & we chatted then she got up went out for ano0ther pee came in sat down & I saw she wasn`t right. She started going unconscious. I lay her down & started examining her & said its a seizure(sorry vet said seizure & examined her). By this time its about 10pm Anyway when she came round she seemed fine again. He reckons the tumour is causing this epeleptic crisis. Before bed I gave her some dinner & she settled down & slept all night. She`s fine again this morning. I had to go out but vet came & gave her injection for sickness & zantac.
My other older dog is on Karsivan(vivitonin) & he wants me to start giving thios to her as well. What do you think? I`ve seen dogs having epeleptic fit & must say what she had wasn`t like that, no shaking, going rigid. Don`t know what to think.

Christine - sorry to read this - I have pm'd you some information.
Thanks Rach, got the pm & pass on my thanks as well :)
How is Sweepy today any better?
Yes Thanks :)
She looks like it just never happened! She slept like a log next to our bed all night, the only thing is she doesn`t want to walk too far but went out for walk this morning & again this afternoon. Appetite all normal too.
We started her on the pills last night so hope we can keep it under control & her comfy for a little longer :)
Bless when I was a child our very first dog was a scottie called Sweepy, I remember her still after 48 years!!! Im pleased you have a little longer with your dog and no pain or distress. I was thinking of you.
Awww thanks :) I`ll never forget my Sweepy either, shes just so intelligent & a right sweety.
I`m just shell shocked how quick these things happen, even tho you know they`re getting on its like a bolt out the blue :(
Yes I know our Sweepy got bit by a rat in the orchard next door and died aged about 6 or 7 when I was about 11, I think? our first real loss and a taste of life not being always fair. We have never forgotten her though.
