Booked the pups in for there first jab at six weeks
BETTER half took them today only to be told that they do not get jabbed untill 10, or 12 weeks
Is new or am I missing some- thing ?

There are different vaccines available and it just depends on which one the vet you go to offers. My local vet used to only do the 10 and 12 week jabs, but they've now made the earlier ones available. You can always ask around other vets in the area.

Innoculations are normally done at 10 and 12 weeks, because the imunity they got from their mother usually lasts them till this age.

my pups had their first jabs at 8 weeks and then the second one at 12 weeks. some breeders get their pups vaccinated at 6 weeks (some full vacc & some have the parvo only) It seems to vary from vet to vet and depends on which vaccine they use - Karvak (sp) can be used from 6 weeks.HTH Julie:)

The breeder I got my pup from does all his for parvo at 6weeks, I didn't collect Cava till 10 weeks so he had had his first innoculation and I had only to get one done. It does seem to vary from vet to vet

We have not changed vets in the last 12 years.
but apparrentlly there is a new senior partner
this could be the reason for the change in the innocoulation program at the vets
