Coming back from cousins yesterday and i got caught in really heavy at a stand still traffic, just Literally two minutes drive from my house so I turned around and went another way and that to was at a stand still everyone was turning round so I turned round again and took a really long route home ,
When I got in I heard on LBC radio the whole of the main road where I live was closed due to a shooting,
A man in a car had been shot by someone in another car and he was hit in the arm and the bullet ricochet though a bus hitting someone else,
I have to say it sent shockwaves and panic thu me as my 22 year old was due home and would be on a bus in that area  so I call him with that  dreadful feeling in the pit of your stomach I cant tell you how awful it feels any way my son was fine but I feel like im living in a war zone it wont be long before the sound of a firework popping around here will be sending people running for cover and hitting the floor,

Iv heard gunshot before once at Brixton in a traffic que and everyone started running a women was clutching her little toddler in her arms and running with her head down and then people just started running everywhere it was so scary  I have to admit I jumped the red light to get away but i did feel trapped by the people all over the street running everywhere ,

Why oh why do we live in such a world where killing is so easy to some people I cant see anyway out and its getting worse ,
I think the press are even down playing these incidents now in my area as you don't read about half the things that go on any more I recon they see it was getting that bad and nothing can be done now its gone to far and the punishment for the crimes of today are laughable to the sorts of people that commit them

I TOTALLY hear you i remember hearing same thing many years ago and it was refuring to the level of gun crimes like drive by shootings and all that, how right they were,
i do think our police have a good idea of whos who in the world of gangs overhere as most of the time they get who their after or they know whos been invovled when something happened,

a friend of mine got mugged a few years ago and was taken around in one of their vans after it happened to see if she could spot the boys that did it, and police were very clued up on who was who and basicly lead here to where the gang was hanging around,

was same as when my son got mugged and betten by a gang of twen youths the police showed us the cctv of the kids lining up my son as a target for them before they done him and they were using hand signals to let eatch other know he was the one to go for and this was on a busy west end street by the trocadero London
THEY were lined up like a pack of killer animals waiting till my son got near the boy who was sent to do the deed then when my son refused to hand over his stuff the lot of them stopped traffic jumped barriers run over road and they all beat my son to the floor it he was unconsious it was middle of the day and not one person did andthing whing he was on the floor in a ball being kicked by 10 boys surrounding him, no one even phoned the police, and my sons come round staggered to a shop to ask for help to be given a wet tissue , he was with a mate who also bricked himself (i cant blame him but i was angry with him at the time)
they ended up getting a bus home and his head was like a football, i took him to hospital where they kept him in for 4 days for head injurys , i surpose i should feel greatful that they never shoot or knifed him but then i feel mad bout that feeling cos whos got the right to put their hands on my boy like that ARRRR i hate the way it makes me feel so angry,
anyway they got one boy even though they new who all 10 were my son never see the rest he just see the first boy before they others jumped him so it went court he got 1 year he was 14 years old,

after he was caught he was on bail till December and it happened in Feb,
the case was put on the early warning list for the first week in December at the inner london crown court, and he mugged my boy again on a 53 bus on old kent road in second week of November ,
my son told him he dont have a mobile phone as he's been mugged before , and it was him who'd done it, son didnt say that bit but just he'd been done before this kid had no idea it was my son he was going to court over in a few weeks time thats how much they are bothered by the way this legal system works,
we again went to police they got the cctv off the bus and he was banged up then till his court date where he got 1 year for that to run consecativly i was told he would serve 2 years but was never sure if that was right as i thought it ment hed only do the one,

that does not suprise me,
the kids i see  on the streets around here have no fear of being caught and punished they will be better looked after in some cases being locked away in a young offenders place then their status on the streets gets bigger , some of the youths around here dont always have their parents in this country looking after them their with aunties uncles or teenage sisters while mum and dad are of in their own country i know this to be the case with a few kids and 2 of the most Notorious child killings in my area it came out later that the child victims parents were back home when their children were murdered by gangs,
My own sons mugger was 14 and had no fixed aboad was meant to be staying with aunt but when police went their she new nothing of were he was or were he was staying his parents were in Africa while he was here running the streets mugging and beating people up public transport was their main place the gang offended,

How is it that parents can come here have children leave them here to go though school then go back and live in their own country I don't get it,
My 11 year olds got a friend whos mum and dad spend most of their time in Guyana while the 14 and 15 year old sisters bring up the boy they all go to school and are for now good kids but with no parent to guide them whos to know what they will get up to left to their own devices, ,

The world is getting far more dangerous.  We live in a normally quiet town, but a few weeks ago a woman was stabbed to death walking her dog!  Totally unprovoked attack by someone who had psychiatric problems!  The thing is we can't think about what 'might' happen too much or we wouldn't do anything.  We can't live in fear.
