They dont have a breed club do they? If they did that may of been able to help him find a home. Could they not trace his breeder, surly as they are not many over here it there cant be many breeders.

As there are only a few breeders of these dogs in the UK, you'd think that the owners of this one would have taken him back to his breeder, I can't help thinking that they'd be very upset to find he's in rescue.
Regarding rescue trying to find his breeder - according to the Daily Mail it's an RSPCA rescue centre - and they aren't exactly reknowned for their record of working with breed clubs or breeders when it comes to rescue dogs :(
There is a new Club for this breed and I have sent their contact the link - I'm sure they'd prefer to know about one of this breed languishing in rescue ;)

ohh thank you so much for taking the time to do that it was very nice of you i hope they help the poor fellow out, xx
How sad that the RSPCA will not work with breed rescues. I asked them about their re-homing policy recently and asked them if they would work with a breed rescue and the reply was that they would only work with a breed rescue to rehome a dog if they had several handed in two cases as examples being a few years ago 200+ labradors were handed in by what they described as a caring breeder, (still left her with 150 though :-( ) and the recent case of the St Bernards. They said they do not work with breed rescues if they only get in one dog of a breed as they feel they can offer a wider selection of homes.
