i found a flea on my dog, i'm worried as tilly had a litter on friday, i used the flea stuff that i had in the cupboard for both of them which is from the vets cant remember what its called? but what about the puppies? i expect they will have them or will get them? tilly has been scratching her ears? but how long does it take for the stuff to work if at all?? there was no paper inside to read about the treatment? phoned my vets the day i was gonna administer the stuff to make sure it was safe for tilly and her young but they are so not bothered about anything there just like yeah?? lol

Frontline SPRAY is safe for puppies from 3 days of age. I'm not aware of any other product that is. It is important to make sure puppies do not have fleas as such young ones could die from it if they get badly infested. Fleas should all drop dead within 24 hour of using the spray.

You can use Frontline Spray on your pups - I think you can use it from 2 days old but I'm not 100% sure on that as I've never needed to use it that early.

You can only get it from your vet so they will be able to advise you however if your vets are not being very helpful I would recommend a new vet! It is so important to build a good relationship with your vet and be able to trust them 100%. It took me 4 -5 vets to find one I am completely happy with.

90% of any flea infestation will be in the house.

I would get a household flea treatment like Acclaim that kills the fleas but more importantly stops them being able to breed and mature.

Do the whole house (remove the dogs and litter from the area for the specified amount of time, so you may need to do it in two stages).

You can use Frontline spray quite young I  believe.
