has anyone any suggestions to stop my bitch,s back legs rom shaking when i stand her for the judge she,s definately not nervous in fact i think it,s the opposite she,s over excited, but i don,t want to give her anything that makes her apear to be unintersted in what she,s doing or having to drag her round the ring because she,s to laid back any ideas?

Both my champions do this, it is adreniolin think thats how you spell it, one is 9 other is 5, I usually bring them around by the ring, let them get their adrenoline rush over with, its not just the legs, its the whole body, I have found they do it more now, when they know they are going to be shown, because they dont go to as many shows. they just love showing and get excited. Once they have done their run around the ring they settle.

Don't know if a few drops of Bach Flower Rescue Remedy on the tongue just before going in the ring would help. It works for people too:-D

hi, just read your post what breed do you show? I have staffs and i have noticed it in some of the dogs males especially and in the red colours. To date i have not founda reason is it a nerve tremor? to go to the bach flower it is herbal, works instantly, for dogs and humans, just a few drops on the tongue, i used to use it about an hour before showing and just before going in the ring on the dog that is !! jo x you can buy from any health shop

ESS bitch liver/white. I have never had this problem before.

Bigger branches of Boots will also have it

and smaller branches do ...our local Boots is tiny but we managed to find it lurking on the shelves ;)
My bitch has always done this but it is not only her legs it is every muscle.
It is pure adrenalin rush with her, and I find that if I get her out of her cage at least 1/2 hour before her class and put her in a down and keep calm myself she calms down enough to be shown.
Mind notwithstanding that I made her up this year, so I think that most judges will overlook the trembling, if they don't then maybe they shouldn't be judging. I would much rather have a dog like this than one who stands in the ring and is bored to tears with the whole idea.
