3weeks ago i left a deposit on a kc male pup so i thought !!!the pups where advertised as kc and ive saved the ad ,well a week ago the breeder rang me to say she couldnt kc the pups and said she would post the deposit back to me ,i have a reciept from her also, i rang monday ans she said i will post it today even tho she told me thur night she would post it friday!!...rang yesterday to say not got it ,her hubby told me it will be with me 2morrow as it was posted monday ,well still not got it ,so ive rang again this morning now no1 is answering the phone ....is there anyway i will be able to get it back??? i could go back there but its 2hours away and i think i will get arrested because im so mad .

Threaten them with the local Trading Standards agency (through the local council) - they are advertising something they haven't got!

ive just rang her again off hubbys phone and she answerd. she still says she posted it monday so i will wait and see if it comes tomorrow!!

If no joy, then speak to Trading Standards. But personally I would send a registered/recorded letter outlining your case i.e.  that you went in all good faith to purchase a KC registered puppy and paid the deposit. They have not been able to provide you with that puppy and that no return of deposit has been forthcoming, then use the magic words 'I have taken advise' then go on to say that you require the deposit within 7 days or you will have no option than to proceed further. Usually works. Certainly hope that it doesn't come to that but they do need a bit of a kick up the posterior to shake them up.

If you travelled to look at the pups, I think the "breeder" should be reimbursing you your expenses as well!
