My boy Basil is going in tomorrow after swallowing something - don't know what yet!!! He has a penchant for bins, my daughters especially, he usually comes out just wearing the bin lid but not this time he's clearly got something stuck. He's still eating, drinking and pooing but is trying to clear his throat most of the time.
So tomorrow, he having a GA, Xray and then the vet said that they would either flush his nostrils and throat or open him up. My OH has said it'll be like opening the shark on Jaws, there'll be car number plates, bits of knex, crisp packets the lot in there.
He's had an AB and an anti-inflammatory jab in the meantime, hopefully it'll shift before tomorrow morning.
Should have called him Dyson.
Bas likes tin foil so we have glittery ones, when its creme egg time we have multicoloured glittery! He ate a pair of my OH's ear defenders (unknown to me) some months ago and I must have spent all day looking at this poo trying to work out what it was.
I have been lucky with him so far this is the first time he's had to go to the vets for something stuck. I don't think for one minute it'll have taught him a lesson.
I had a friend who had a cat who used to eat the lametta of the Xmas tree and she used to have to pull it through!!!!!
