Has anyone else noticed a massive increase in photo collectors and timewasters when it comes to selling their pups? I normally get a few timewasters but nothing compared to this litter. I'm starting to doubt my puppies but in all honesty, with the exception of 1 pup that is carrying its tail wrong, they're the best pups I've ever bred!

Just wondered how everyone else was finding things?

Whenever i get an email about my puppies i always give them a questionnaire. Which seems to ged rid of alot!

Q's like, why do you want a (insert breed) what attracted you to a (insert breed). Do you have or have you had any other dogs? If so state age, breed, sex, and whether they are neutered or not. If not why not? (if they have ever got 'rid' of a dog or 'accidentally got run over' etc etc. Do you have children? if so what age, sex are they. All the general ones including how do you think you would attempt to deal with any unwanted behaviours. How do you intend to train the puppy, socialising, toileting and basic obedience? If you can no longer look after your puppy it must be retured to me the breeder to be rehomed, not resold therefore you would not recieve any amount of the purchase price. Do you disagree with this? Are all the family wanting a dog.

Genuine people take the time over answering these questions if they dont, then i dont go any further. Saves me time as i just copy and paste.

It's been ridiculous the last couple of weeks - It seems to be mostly just people wanting an afternoon out or for me to send further pictures (I put a stop to this immediately, it drives me insane sending photos!). Crazy people. I have far too much to do to be travelling aroung looking at peoples puppies or emailing for further pictures, hubby and I have said we wish that we did have this much time on our hands! :)

I send out questionnaires by post, 3 pages long!!! LOL  By sending them through the post I can also make sure that they live where they say they do.  Well you never know do you??  I have had a great response from doing this and while not all were returned, it made my decision easier and new owners all said that they felt reassured that I cared enough to go to that much trouble.  Nothing is ever too much trouble when it comes to homing my babies. :)

Hello everyone......I posted a year ago saying how I sorted interested people out by questionnaires. Sent out 20+ and got 5 back. Because they were hand written i also needed the address. I 'google mapped' their postcode to see if they lived in the street/area they described. (ie next to a park, huge garden, in a quiet cul d sac, in a tower block, town house etc)
All those that were returned were right on. If they said they had a large enclosed garden ....they had. No farmers, outside dog kennels, large barns etc were found !

I told them later what I had done and none minded as they knew I had the puppies best interest at heart....

I agree...ask questions...the honest and interested people really do not mind IMO.

What a fab idea! I am getting loads of puppy enquiries at the moment and I am so worried about who to sell my puppies too! I am going to try this!
