Hi i have a litters of 2 week old puppies and i just need some help with the wormer i got from the vets today it is panacur 10% small animal liquid the issue im having is my puppies are only 1.5lb which is half kilo am i right in assuming the dose would then be the minimum 0.5ml for dogs of 1kg, dont want to overdose them so any advice would be greatly recieved.

You need to weigh your pups in grams not pounds.  I have electronic scales for weighing puppies and nothing else.  At 14 days most of my pups only need 0.02ml but it is a very tiny breed.  The doses are given for metric and I certainly wouldn't give my pups 0.5ml - I wouldn't take the risk.  It is far easier to be accurate if you weigh in metric.   I too, only do "old money", but I am pretty finicky about getting doses accurate.  I have used Panacur 10% for years.

Also, I weigh each and every pup, and work out individual doses - and I'm sure that the whole litter doesn't weigh the same.

all 4 pups weigh between 0.566 kg and 0.666kg and it lbs between 1.3 and 1.5lb i weigh them on elec scales i think the problem has arrived that because my bitch is a sturdy girl the vet did not take into account the small size of the pups im gonna hold of giving them and check with the vet again i think as there is a panacur 2% i think

I wouldn't drop from 10% -  the alternative is 2.5% , which obviously means that you need to give them 4 times as much.  And it's difficult enough getting it down them without spillage.  Honestly - stick with easiest to use!  :-)

I have the 'puter in my bedroom, or I would check dosage for you, but the box is downstairs.  I smiled when you mentioned small pups and then 1.5lbs!!!!  My littlest girl was two and threequarter ounces at birth (sorry don't know how to do fractions on here!)

Was your bitch Panacured during pregnancy?

hehe no these arent small pups they were around 5 oz at birth i just meant in realation to my bitch lol shes a sturdy girlie :)
she had the panacur granuels from day 40 of pregnancy ill stick with the 10% would just hate to give to much so im thinking they should be round about 0.3ml but i shall weigh them all again and work it from there

I can reassure you of one thing!  All my bitches are treated while in whelp, and, I assume that, as pups are used to it via the placenta prior to birth, I have never had any bad reaction, not ever.  I swear by it.
