What has happened to my favourites?  You know where you put your favourite sites.  Went on the computer today and only 6 remain.  Where are the others?

firstly what operating system are you using , windows xp?? or vista i dont know about the newer one vista, but if its windows xp you

go to start normally bottem right corner
then go on ALL Programes
and scroll across to ACCESSORIES, this highlight more options
go to SYSTEM TOOLS,
and then you should see on the list SYSTEM RESTORE
Click it and you can restore your pc to a previous time this undoes changes you may have made on your pc that did when installing or unistalling things and later find you may have made a boo boo in doing that,

Sorry should warn you that the only thing i lose when iv done this is what i may have  put on my calander in mircosoft works say if i wrote an entry today on it then reset my pc back to yesterday then the entrie i put in today wont show, thats the only thing iv noticed that you may want to save a copy of your calander before restoring pc specially if you want to go back a few weeks, thats if you use the mircosoft works one

have you used a differant aol to sign in on i no when i started using the AOL 9vr i think it was called , i lost all my favs from when i was using the Aol 8 ,
its hard to advise as i dont know where your looking for them have you checked in your files, maybe have a browse around your files till you find favs it will be their somewhere but it hard to know where without specs on op system and which browser your using , unless you may have wiped it by accident, then check recycle bin, have a browse around and try google it as im really bad at explaining things ,
you may want to turn on you system restore its very useful at times,

then Administrator, or may be your pc name,

you see because i have my family using my pc i have more than one user settings in the doc and settings folder , i have 3 differant names their and all my favs and settings are in a folder called chelsea, if i go on the admin settings all my favs are not their,  yet i am admin on my pc but im chelsea also so mines a bit messed up ,
but have a look and of you google you may fine pic examples with easier instructions than mine,
i recon you will find them its hard to lose anything on a pc these days their also file restorers that work well, my mates OH is a pc wizz works for big company fixing all their main computers and he always tells my that Every thing is always their somewhere unless you know how to get rid of it properley,
