Hi
We have a couple of rescue dogs in at the moment , coats are appalling and have been clipped , they also have skin like elephant hide were there is no coat at all , bloods have been done and ruled out thyroid/cushings  but the poor things are still scrating themselves to death , they are being bathed in malaseb every other day but they are producing grease and sloughing skin and smell quite bad
Any ideas anyone

Try Sporal-D shampoo - anti-microbial, anti fungal.

Works a treat, only problem is only available on the net, expensive approx £7-8 per 200ml bottle ( but does go a long way as it lathers up really well)  and you have to shampoo in - leave 5 mins before shampooing out.
Worth it though as it tends to stop itching -dead.

Hilton Herbs do some really good, natural products that may help (http://www.hiltonherbs.com/canine/canine_coatandskin.cfm?cfid=2085575&cftoken=50398447). Their Phytobalm is brilliant for calming sore areas, and the coal tar, neem and tea tree shampoo is very good. I also use their Top Coat supplement. Have a word with them, they are very helpful.
