Has this been stopped by the KC yet?

I know a lady who has just done this mating and i know that some matings have been stopped but what about this one?

That is still permitted, it is just mother/son, father/daughter and full brother/sister as far as i am aware.

When we were looking for a stud dog for our bitch, the owner of her sire actually suggested we use one of her half brothers...I must say I was not keen on the idea and didn't! But it is a common thing in line breeding apparently.

year i think it is ok, i know a breeder that has had a litter with cousins there is less than 100 in the bree and the pups will now have to crippiling inbreed on the pedigree, so there is now 5 new pups that cant be bred from, well i will try to avoid it as much as possible. they are relaited to my bitch as it is anyway, i think the breeder is trying to get a 100% kennel pedigree.

Why will those 5 pups not be able to be bred from? What is wrong with having all the dogs in a pedigree from the same kennel - some breerers have a fairly large number of dogs (20+) and can breed within their line without going too close. Line breeding establishes a type. Health defects do not just appear, they are genetically there or not, so if a line is healthy why the problem. Most really successful breeders tend to breed this way, but will make the odd outcross to another line, but that will bring in failings as well as faults.

the breed is so small the breeding of those dogs would close tha blood line and more imports and hard work would be needed to correct the inbreeding, imsure the breder will breed form them but im telling you that know one in teh club will breed with them or buy one.
