and lightning?? :(

The weathermen (and women) have been promising me thunder and lightning for days.  The pictures of the black clouds with the zigzags of lightning have been right over my town on every map.   But we've had nothing!   no rumble, not even a sneeze!   we had 2 drops of rain at 3.30pm which dried up before they hit the floor but that's it.    One hit my son's face and disappeared with a small hiss :-D

all we've got is hot and sticky and cloudy :( - I've had 2 cold showers today and the only way to get to sleep is to spray myself with cold water

So which of you has got my weather?? 

I'm so disappointed - I LOVE a good thunderstorm with lightning and rain    If this carries on I'll have to put my rainforest thunderstorm CD on and pretend!

we'v had 3 days of bliss sunshine and heat their was a nice cool breeze around 10 pm lasted an hour them nothing but hot humid air from then on its getting unbearable now and the fans to noisy to sleep with that on, if i see your thunder before you do then i'll be sure to send it your way after its cleared the air for me of course :-) lol

Ahha we have rain heavy wet cold rain its just started should cool the air a bit i hope i'll send it over your way when its done here

Well it certainly wasn't me. Someone turned up at training last night complaing that they had been caught in torrential rain so I thought Great, that will have been over my house too, but when I got home I found the rain had stopped at the end of the lane in an almost straight line!

We had torrential rain and thunderstorms yesterday morning until about 9am in ''Sunny'' cornwall. The secondary school at the top of the road even got hit by lightning at around half 8! (No one hurt apart from the electrics and phones) I have to say, despite the 'miserable' weather it was very nice here! I never thought I would be so happy to see rain! Its a bit hot here again today but nowhere near as muggy.

We had a thunderstorm in the middle of the night. I was woken up by youngest dog barking because the other dog, who is not keen on thunder, had managed to get himself shut in the bathroom. He goes and sits in the shower when it thunders.

No thunder of lightning but boy is it raining,  think this is it for the wknd & then you get bet your life it will be glorious sunshine on monday when we're all back at work :(

We had rain !!!

must have been about 6am - it woke me but I didn't check the time, haven't slept well since the heat started.

Wasn't a heavy shower, but the ground is still wet :)  and it's lovely and cool here now with a nice breeze - all my windows are WIDE open to catch it :-D

Oooh the relief!

aww poor baby!   One of mine used to hide in the glory hole under the stairs with all our junk.

Misty rain here and a lot cooler,  down from 3 shoers a day to only 1. Bather Whistler Wednesday night rolled in fresh pony pooh today (he's sat on my feet as I type) washed off but happily now still pooh smelling!! They ignor the thunder buts its 4th July tomorrow and around here they will be idiots setting off fireworks they have a bark at them.

Not sure if it's the one you are looking for,but someone left a thunderstorm outside my backdoor last night.Not a very big one and no spectacular lightening,so it might not be your one.

We've had it all week here, except for yesterday and some of Wednesday.

Think we got your thunderstorm about 1.30 this morning!    And now Loki is taking on Purdey's mantle and decided that she is frightened of thurderstorms - she was really getting quite stressed - silly girl!

I finished up having to bring her into our bedroom and she got herself right into the corner of my room behind the linen basket (but near the bed) and settled down ......until a second storm at about 4am - and I was woken up when she flung herself on top of me - she was actually trying to get under the duvet!!

So she was threatened with the squeaky chicken and went back into her corner again .....and I didn't get back to sleep until nearly 6!!

Please come & collect your thunderstorms ....I need a good night's sleep tonight as tomorrow I'm going down to Brighton for the day and will have to leave at about 7am :)

Perrodeagua thats really odd, it has just rained this morning in Hyde but its been dry and very hot all week. Work sent me some flowers yesterday and they were wilted and completely dried out as they arrived in a box with no water :-( The florist is sending some more, so i'm hoping for a cooler couple of days.

We've had clear blue sky all week but woke up this morning to find it overcast.  It finally rained, well downpour really, at around 11ish this morning for around 20 minutes but its now clear blue sky again and just as hot, sticky and muggy as ever!  We desperately need a thunderstorm here!!
