I hear a moan going on here. Oh no not RAIN!!!! There is a happy medium which is high teens and low twenties for dog showing. No rain and no excessive heat, oh and no bad wind either

I was there today it was really hot but the rings are partially covered, not inside just a roof with no sides, our breed stayed within this which was pleasant but must admit I left as soon as I was done.

They were still announcing over the tannoy about dogs in cars - although that was only first thing, it seemed people did take note !!

Well I bought extra Icepascks which I will wrap in towels for benches and for the car.

i was there today it was bloody hot, i left at 4pm the car was to hot for the dogs to get in,had to put the air con first for 5mins to cool the car  down,
still warning were going out people leaving their dogs in car,if i saw a dog in the car i would have broken in and got them.

I decided to leave my boy at home today, partly because of the heat, and go and watch instead.  I kept wondering what to do with my spare hand - luckily I could borrow a friends dog!!

It was too hot for me and I know my boy would have hated it.  There are huge water vats/troughs available by the taps and many people were plunging their dogs in there - as you can imagine, many of the gundogs thought this was perfect :).  The trade stands were selling out of water bowls and doing a roaring trade in any type of refective material (coats and covers) and water sprays.  The food area had no shade at all and very few people were bothering with hot food.  The drinks sold quite well though!

I've rarely seen a show so deserted toward the end.  Most people I know were leaving as soon as their classes had finished and by 3pm it looked like a two minute warning had gone off...

When I got back to the car the computer registered 34°

Although it was very hot, the marquees in the shade I thought wern't too bad a lovely breeze next to our ring, but the temp in the car was 42 degrees, glad I took frozen towels for my dog to sit on unlike me with a leather seat, what would we do without out air con.

Must admit didn't see any dogs suffering.  Showground was very dead though by 2ish whe most breeds had been judged, I think alot of people went home after their class/breed.  Tents wern't too hot and rings partially undercover but open so shaded and a breeze.
