have you heard about these newly minted twenty pence coins that have been printed in error and have no date on? Well they are still legal tender, but coin collectors are said to be willing to pay up to £50 for the coin! And it will increase in value as years go on! Well after looking through my change, i have one of these coins! Which is now in a very safe place! So look through your coins!

well done you, i seen this on the news today and was thinking to myself that if i come across one there is no way i would give it up for the £50. Keep tight hold and might be worth more soon

Heard this on radio so looked thru about £4 of 20p thought I had one but some they minted last year they have put the year on the HEAD side.............I thought to start off that I had 4 of them............ :-(

Oh no, i've just handed all my 20p's to my local charity yesterday for their fun show show.. darn.. who knows they may become rich..

Ive just gone through my two bags of 20p's,no luck though!

just looked at ebay, the rare coins with no date are selling for £200+ and the ones with 2008 on are selling for £10+! :)

Why are the 2008 ones selling for higher amount?

I went through ours today in our shop..£180 worth of them. Nothing with no date on.
I did see one 2008 but didnt think that mattered,so didnt bother with it.

I really thought I had a no-date one today.Had to go to the eye hospital for my check uo,and on the way home getting my bus fare ready,dug out a 20p from the corner of my purse,I'd seen the article in the paper,and was thinking what i'd spend 50quid on,while giving this coin the once over.I had to squint at it a few times in the sun,but couldn't find a date.I hung on to it for dear life until i got on the bus,where i was going to plan how to cash in.Then the drops i'd had in my eyes finally cleared.and there was the date in all it's glory 1994!Boo Hoo :)
