The fact that you cannot stay on the ball means your core muscles (the ones you use to stay on the ball) need strengthening :-)
Keep trying but also, remember not all exercises need you to be on the ball, some use the ball as an aide to different moves.
Also, perhaps the flooring may be making the ball roll away easier??
:-)

Is that why i keep plopping to the floor then?! LOL ill show you the website i use for the exercises...*looks up link* http://www.wandererscricket.com/fitball.html

i tried all those, and i could not do one.. only the ones related to the abs and core muscles i mean, they are the ones i have done, or tried too lol! even the one where you face the floor and put your front legs and knees on the ball and do something on the floor i couldnt do as the ball flew away... lol are you supposed to jam the ball against something?

I think you've picked some very difficult exercises there for one starting off on the ball. I would as FM has said work with the ball to strengthen the core muscles.

Let me find a link which i think may be better suited.

I used the ball against the wall and then squatted down on it which helped, also to do push up's again you can put it up against the wall. You need to keep your back straight during these exercises. Have you thought about getting a private trainer in to start you off for a few sessions, to include the ball amongst other things? It may be worth your while to know you are doing everything right and not causing yourself any potential injuries in the future?

Thank you for the link!!! They look much easier to do!! Phew! LOL

I cannot afford a trainer and plus i only want to do my abs and stuff, if i start getting pains ill know i am doing it wrong so ill stop before injury and try something else. but thank you for the link :D

You may find that your local leisure centre runs such classes - I know mine do and they are relativley cheap.  You could go to learn the exercises and then practice at home.  The advantage is that there is someone watching to check your body is in the correct line etc as it is easy to injure the lower back if some of the exercises are done incorrectly.

That one link shows really advanced excercises.  I did a class for pilates on the ball - it was very good - not enough people supported it and the class was axed.  Got a ball myself but never excercise at home!  The first excercise we did was to sit on the ball - both feet on the floor, sitting upright, tummy muscles engaged and then lift one foot off the floor, put it down then the other.  That was hard enough!
