My neighbour two doors up asked me to look at her  pregnant bitch yesterday to get my opinion .The bitch seems to have weird nipples. One side seems normal enough though the other is different . One boob is very large and seems to have two nipples coming off it. The nipple next to it has no milk building up and just seems like a skin tag . Just a dot really . She wanted to know if she has a large litter would all pups be fed due to the deformed nipple  . I had no clue as my bitch is fine so cant compare . Any idea        

If it's just like a skin tag I can't see why it would cause any problems? Even if it does cause stop milk production in that nipple, all the others should be fine and puppies don't need a nipple each so can't see it would be a problem?

One of my bitches has an "extra" nipple although I've never bred from her (and wouldn't) so don't know if it would produce milk or not.

Interesting!  I have a girl with one totally missing.  She had no problem raising a litter though.

my girl has one missing on one side and has a tiny extra one (like a mole) quite close to the one on the other side.  She's not going to be bred but is having a slight phantom at the moment, the side with one missing has no swelling where it should be.  Seems it's quite common then.

One of my girls has a nipple missing as well. She had 2 litters of 5 (3&5 years ago)with no trouble at all.
