Topic Dog Boards / Showing / Mistake made on entry form
- By suejaw Date 20.06.09 10:31 UTC
Hi,

Just wondered if i need to do anything else, i have just added my pups details to dogbiz and then entered both dogs into Richmond. I have double checked my email and it shows i am the breeder of pup, ooops.. This is not the case and i have emailed back from the email confirmation to see if they will change it, i have also updated and changed the details on dogbiz, which is where the mistake occurred.

Is there anyone else i need to contact to make sure that the error has been rectified?

Nope aslong as you have informed Fosse that will be fine.  Just doulbe check in the catalouge on the day, if still incorrect when printed, inform the secretary before judging. :)

Ring up fosse data because they charge £5 to change the details i spelt my dogs name wrong, fingers quicker than brain and i emailed them to ask them to change it and they said as per the message before you hit enter they charge £5 to change any info, so one letter wrong cost me a fiver

Its through higham press, do they charge as well?

I entered my bitch as a dog at one show  and didn't notice until i went looking in the catalogue at the show. I think it was Border Union a couple of years ago. I went to the secretaries tent before judging started and managed to get it changed. I can't honestly remember if I paid anything for that, though seem to think it might have been a fiver. I then had to inform the steward of the mistake so that she could ammend the paperwork. There was a form to fill in and give to the steward. That much I do remember. I felt such a fool ;-)

ETA: If the mistake is still in the catalogue when you get there you can get it changed so long as judging hasn't started.

Hi, here's my email from fosse data

Hello,

We are able to make this change for you, but as stated on our online entry website, there will be a £5 charge for each change requested.

If you wish to proceed with making a change, you must telephone our online department on 01788 860960 choosing option 1 (online entry enquiries). You will need to have your credit or debit card details to hand when you phone so that the £5 charge can be taken immediately.

id just see sec on day and get it changed at show,
its expensive enough to show dogs with out having to pay extra £5
like you say,you have changed details now for any future shows entered so mistake wont hapen again,
wont cost you on day to sort with sec
good luck
jayne

I made a mistake with Fosse Data when I entered The  South Wales W&P Champ Show.I didn't even notice, but a chap phoned me ,asked me for correct details and amended my entry which i originally did electronically. No charge :) I put incorrect date of birth!

I have just spoken to Higham Press and because i have changed the breeds details already online after making the entry to the show i am fine. They have the correct details showing and its apparently the only thing you can change with them without having to pay a fee which is the same as fosse set at £5.

Thank goodness for that, otherwise i'd have a lot of explaining to do to the breeder..
