>and im sorry i dont think for one minute she feel asleep

I agree with you, so do tattoists in the article underneath, and this is what a cosmetic surgeon said:-
"The face contains sensitive nerve endings that would make it virtually impossible to relax enough to fall into a sleep" taken from here

I apologise if i have offended anyone - that wasnt my intention, i was just bringing a different angle to the topic. It is going off thread now so i thought i would issue my apologies before it gets locked. For anyone who 'is different' in any way i think you should hold your head high and be proud of how you look :-) It what makes us who we are and individula human beings :-)

Yes, let's keep to the thread topic of tattoos; birth defects or accidental disfigurements have absolutely no connection to this.

A wise person once Warned me.....about Tattoos <- N.B. Sense of humour needed to view this,If you have misplaced or never received afore mentioned S.O.S best not to click on this, (common sense however can be sustituted for Sense of Humour) ;)

Note also: Language a little strong in one place.

hi all...well ive been reading this thread with interest as its swapped and changed from post to post.
first of all thanks to all who said my tattoo was pretty its still a long way off being finished but imo I think its looking good so far.
As for all the negative comments regarding tattoo's on here, I agree they are not to every persons taste and I have no problem with anyone who says they are not their cup of tea.
I think if everyone had the same opinions the world would be a boring place lol.
What upsets me a little bit is not the fact that people dont like them and they say they dont like them, its the words used to say they dnt like them.
I know people have said they find them vile and disgusting thats fine its their opinion they are entitled to it after all, but cant you just say I dont like them and leave it at that, rather than offend people by using those words.?. And i suppose if youre at home discussing it in private you are free to use whatever words you like, you cant offend the person with them then.
Facial disfigurments and birthmarks do not even come into comparrison with tattoos and should not have been brought up on this thread imo.
I had one on my neck which looked like a lovebite and i was often told off at school for being disgusting and made fun of in the playground..its not nice and entirely different to freedom of chioce getting a tattoo.

I also do ask that fair enough if you dont like tattoo's to try not to judge before you know a person,I do know its human nature to do so but surely its better to judge a person on what thier pesonality is like ,not what they look like.
Thats all I wanted to say really if ive made sense.

Now going back to the request for pics....any one willing to oblige lol :)

Also forgeot to add, that girl with the stars on her face, I really dont believe her story as I think she would feel every jab of the needle its such a sensative area, having said that I fall asleep having my tattoo done as I find it theraputic and the buzz you feel after is amazing ,I feel very peacefull and happy. Reading the story it seems like she only went mad when her Dad hit the roof and imo the tattoo artist has been really good about it all,im wondering whether maybe she sees it as a quick way of making money as we seem to be living in a compensation nation, just a thought.

P.S Husky Gal, love the vid very funny ;)

I'm waiting to see your finished tattoo. How far to go now?
- By purplehaze [gb] Date 19.06.09 18:27 UTC
lol how long is a piece of string poppity ;) . I dont know when it will be finishd as i plan to just keep adding to it till I run out of space or my tattoo artist and I runs out of ideas. I want to add dragonflies at the bottom coming up out of water but we will have to see how we can fit it round my other tattos and make it fit into the piece we are working on now.

heres a link to where im at so far, sorry if the new bit is a bit red,it was taken immeadiately after my recent sitting

Simply stunning purplehaze. I think i said this last time but you have a very good tattoo artist - exactly how they should be (just wish all were!) Very good attention to detail, fine lines and shading.
:-)
- By purplehaze [gb] Date 19.06.09 18:35 UTC
Thanks Fred's Mum thats kind of you to say :).
I do think I am lucky to have found such a good artist,to be fair both people who have tattooed me have been excellent but the first tattoo artist probably wouldnt have enjoyed doing my latest piece as much as he did doing my others as its not his style.
The girl who is doing this pieceis much more fitting for the design as its right up her street.
- By Freds Mum [gb] Date 19.06.09 18:38 UTC
I think you have hit upon a good point Purplehaze that you need to be on the same wavelength as the artist so you are both striving for the same kind of results. If this is the tattoo artists kind of thing they must be so pleased to be able to unleash their talent on such an interesting piece.
- By purplehaze [gb] Date 19.06.09 18:41 UTC
I agree with you Fred's mum while I think its good to find a tattoo artist you are happy with I also think its very important to fit the style of the tattoo to the artist doing it as some may excell better than others depending on what they are good at. I have more or less given my artist free reighn to do as she wishes along the lines of my basic ideas and I must admit she has come up with some excellent ideas which I have just let her run with and im more that happy with the result so far.
- By poppity [gb] Date 19.06.09 18:47 UTC
That is the most interesting i've ever seen, amazing! It's so well defined.I hope you can get the dragonflies on,they are beautiful creatures (though i'd run away screaming if one landed on me-or anywhere near me,if it comes to that).
- By purplehaze [gb] Date 19.06.09 18:49 UTC
Thanks poppity, thats kind :).I am going to try to fit the dragon flies in,I have another tattoo across my lower back and hopefully we can fit the water above or round it so we can have the dragonflies coming up out of the water.
- By chelzeagirl [gb] Date 19.06.09 19:17 UTC
