Has anyone else tried this yet? I took delivery of my first bar today and have tried it out. I wasn't too impressed with the smell at first - it smells very much like citronella but I gave it a go. I wouldn't say its as easy to use as a liquid shampoo as I had to keep wetting the dogs and rubbing the soap all over their bodies but its going to last much longer than a bottle of liquid does and it produces a lovely rich and creamy lather. Both boys are now almost dry and have amazingly glossy coats and smell delightful. Alfie, who is black and tan has before now, never had a bath which hasn't left him covered in white flakes of dry skin but he has none today which is great and Harvey who always tends to be extra itchy straight after a bath when he's wet hasn't scratched so all in all, I'm quite impressed. It Costs £8.00 for a 100g bar and I would say looking art how much has been used that we will probably get 8 baths out of it (Cavalier size).

Yes,I bought it as I think I'm addicted to the smell of Dermacton and I can't imagine anything nicer than my dogs smelling of it all day.I thought it was great,nice lather and lovely shiny coats at the end,a bit harder to use than shampoo yes but worth it.Very impressed and perfect for bathing itchy dogs although I don't think it stops the itching as well as the Dermacton cream.

I've tried the shampoo bar and the spray on my Dobe. He looked lovely the day he was shampooed but was smothered head to toe in dandruff the next day! I'd got a friend to lift him into the bath so I could use the shower head on him, so he was definitely completely rinsed. Won't be using it again I don't think. The spray I thought smelt lovely but didn't find it made any difference to the itching.
