She has been awarded this and deservedly so too.
A very pro active person who has done so much and very little of which is mentioned as part of it.
So congratulations Barb...I have to collect her and take her to Government house later this morning.....she is not not happy about her obligation to wear a dress! :(

It is/was community service.
She is the type of person who can harness what the rest of say should be done and actually does it or manages to get others doing it.
She initiated age concern where there was nothing for the aged to do.
She decided a community bus was (it Is ) needed and organised one, and now does most of the driving of it, running people inb need to church, appointments (be it doctor or hairdresser). That is a small portion of stuff, like I said she doesn't just have ideas but acts constantly.

It's nice to hear of ordinary people who actually do good getting awards rather than civil servants or business people who get them for just doing their jobs.  Well done her!
