As long as your pups are KC registered, you can get a free insurance with Petplan, but they have just dropped it from 6 weeks to 4 weeks

Kennel Club still offers 6 weeks insurance - but charge twice as much as NFU, for instance, for the same cover once free cover is withdrawn.

How much do the NFU charge for their insurance? Is it just on the usual 'pet' cover or do they cover breeding dogs too?

Found it but how do you register? When you click register it asks for a breeder reference?? I'm confused lol I need to register first before I have a breeders reference.

Anyone a member?

Be careful - if this is what I think it is - and looking at their list of 'breeds' which include all sorts of designer crosses - I don't think I am far off the mark :(  stick with the KC

it was just really to take advantage of the 12 weeks free insurance gives me a lil more piece of mind when the pups leave that they are covered for that long instead of just 4 weeks with petplan!

But the KC give 6 weeks cover - and most vets top this up with free petplan insurance.  If I am right in my belief - this is an organisation that 'takes registrations (for a fee) and will register anything :(
