Me and my boyfriend have been thinking of getting a king charles for a while now but cant really find any breeders near us. We live in the Rhondda Valleys. Just to get it straight in your mind are you thinking King charles (flat nosed, like a pekingese) or Cavalier King charles (which has a longer more standard type dog muzzle). The Cavaliers are very popular, and there are a lot of different Rescues, but if you mean King charles then you are right there are far fewer. I would make contact with a Breed Club, go and see some of the events they run. when you are ready ask for a breeders list, or you may have already made friends in the breed by then. If you make haste slowly you will know a lot more, and be more likely to make a good choice.
