Hi hope someone can help,
I have my 3 dogs on James Wellbeloved and they are all fine on it, not many poohs and nice and hard. However, one of the dogs is a puppy and is getting 3/4 large cups per day and the other 2 adults are getting 3 large cups per day, I am spending nearly £80 per month on dog food and to be honest I just can't afford it anymore.
Someone suggested Wainwrights for all of them obviously adult and large breed puppy, but have any of you had any experience with Wainwrights and I was told off the James Wellbeloved rep in a pet shop once that with JWB it is 80% stays in the stomach and 20% waste which is definitely what I have found, however don't know about Wainwrights.
Alternatively what do other members feed their dog on for dogs with sensitive stomachs (weims), not too expensive.
Thanks

My GSD has terrible digestion problems and I've been recommended CSJ. They have sent me out free samples, have a free nutrition helpline, and are cheaper than both Burns and JWB (which she has previously been on). Can't really comment on the results yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Wainwrights is very similar the JWB but I remember someone on here saying that you do have to feed slightly more of it the then JWB. Migth be worth checking that out.
Also I odn't know if JWB do a breeders scheme where if you buy direct from them as a breeder you can get bags cheeper, normally have to buy 4 at a time which seems like you would get though resonably quickly! I know if the brands I feed you don't have to be a breeder to sign up to the breeders scheme and know someone with two male neutured crossbreeds who make use of a breeders discount because they do buy enough to warrent it! :)

My BC boy was a nightmare for sensitive tum, and I bought a small bag of every brand I could find that did sensitive.
I wasn't prepared for the result, as I wasn't trying to economise, so an expensive brand would have been bought if it had the best results.
Burgess Supadog was an instant success, and I have been using it for my boy for 4 years now. The last time he went in for his booster jab, the vet commented on his marvellous condition. You have nothing to lose by trying!
Hi is that Supadog sensitive, or just the normal adult food, thanks

My bro's Weim is fed on Dr Johns silver, they've tried others, but nothing else seems to suit her. Not a food I would personally feed ;)
CSJ will send you samples of their different varieties - there are plenty to choose from ;) and you can email Ceri to discuss your dog's needs
I agree with Jean it's just trial and error to find a food that will suit. I prefer less complicated foods (shorter ingredients list ;) ) that way if a food doesn't agree with my dogs its easier to identify what may be the cause ;)

I have used wainwrights food in the past and found it very good for sensitive tums,i wouldnt hesitate to use it again.
I used the salmon and potato, but know other people that have used the turkey and rice with good results.
It is quite a bit cheaper and is very similar to JWB.

The Sensitive - it worked wonders.
I use the Wainright's Turkey & Rice (wee one not keen on the salmon) with great results. I tried most of the others and they just didn't work for him, he was either hyper, upset tummy or just plain not eating it! The price is good and like you, if the more expensive stuff had worked, that's what he'd get. I must admit though that I always mix in extra. He gets fresh chicken, liver or steak & veg in the morning and sardines or tuna with a bit of veg at night.
I have fed Wainwrights Turkey and Rice ( they dont like the fish) for my 3 girls for ages. All in lovely condition and the vet very pleased with weight, coats, teeth etc. One of mine has a bit of a dicky tum and this food if perfect for her. As for poos...all nice and firm and not too big either!!
I have just tried my dogs on Challenge. It is very reasonably priced, they all love it and no problems with tums etc. They offer a delivery service free of charge for 2 or more bags.

Two of our dogs are on CSJ (Herbie Nuts). They have been on various CSJ foods for years and are doing very well on them, so I can definitely recommend them.
Our other two dogs are on special diets so don't really count (vegan and home cooked).

Thank you to all of you for your kind comments, I have bought some Wainwright food, and I am getting some samples from CSJ so I will decide which one I think my dogs are best on, thanks once again x
Hi I feed my boy JWB as he too has a senstive stomach - a vet suggested it and its been the making of him in that respect - i found a company which do it for approx £27 for a 10kg sack - you have to buy 4 sacks tho. to get this price This is for the Lamb & Veg one - cereal free.
If you are interested say, and i'll dig out the details of the company - can't find the order email response at the moment!!
