Sounds like kennel cough with secondary infection.

What does your vet say?

I would have already taken her to the vets, very young puppies can be very ill with Kennel Cough & any illness at this age should be treated asap. Your bitch should still be covered by her Kennel Club Free Insurance period

Warn the vet about the cough -they may prefer to come out to your car or have you wait outside until any other dogs are gone so your pup doesn't infect others waiting.

Reading this and the other thread you are posting on - has she been investigating any slugs or snails? My lad had a huffy - clearing throat type cough which turned out to be early lung worm. he was fine in himself apart from this 'huff' every so often but I knew he had been testing if snails were edible as in stick it in gob - squash it - spit it out.
Pups are like kids - everything goes in mouth and I imagine babies would be affected faster and harder than a 'teenager'
just a thought.

i dont know about the slugs or snails - but she is always in the garden we have to watch her all the time she is into everything lol, and i panic as i only lost my black lab 5 months ago and dont want anything to happen to my 2 new cavs i love them so very much they are gorgeous i didnt think i would be able to love another dog - but omg they are so cute and loving -

i cant wait to see the vet tomorow and hope she is ok and just somethiing small and not bad, fingers and toes crossed for her sharron x
